CATS White Water Rafting Trip

Angrily roaring Daniel’s Dip (accounted at rapid of Grade 3+) at Kodiyala… One of our rafts flipped whilst trying to kiss Daniel… the other two rafts skirted the kiss issue and went past safely… Despite being inflicted with a funny bone even in sleep, CATS get their act together instantly when the need arises… This was one moment of crisis which CATS had never undergone in their short life of 7 months…

The only CATS who managed to hold onto the chicken rope in our raft were Jolly, Madhvi, Ashish C and Aditi. I found myself holding onto three pedals worth US$210/- whilst being spewed out and getting sucked into the whirlpool. Struggling against the rocks and the raft, strangely enough CAT Joey also kept thinking of the US$70/- he had lost during the flip. I saw CAT Sourabh being washed up even higher where he stuck onto a rock like the Spiderman. CAT Rajpal was spotted struggling badly as only his helmet was visible above the water.

Kudos to the raft of Guide Bachan, who rescued three of the four flipped CATS from the Daniel that afternoon.
