Photo Gallery- Jayanti Devi Biking Trip

Wakey Wakey Rise n Shine
CATS slowly started pouring in at the Assembly Point, i.e. car parking of Karuna Sadan in Sec.11

It was a pleasure to see some familiar faces joining the Catty Gang for the first time:)
Welcome Roshni, Rohit and Harmesh Inder

Literally a few yeards from the main road took us in villages...
This milkman asked CAT Paramjeet if he had indeed taken his photo :)

Baba Ji also asked, 'Photo sohni aa gayi ai??!!!'

Biking made us all acutely aware of the hazards that a cyclist on a road faces everyday...
This truck driver was kind and manuvered around the CATS

This taxi driver sadly did not care much for our life and limb :(

This Bull surely had no reason to complain against the CATS...
Would you believe that this was all happening about a kilometer inside the main road of Chandigarh?

Time to take a break, rest your saddle, sip some juice, gulp some water, munch on an apple...

Soon it was time to hit the road again...
Notice our 7rs old CAT Ansh, who was the youngest amungst the pack in this biking trip... He biked passionately all the way, much to the amazement of his mother CAT Rachna :)

CATS decided to make a detour to climb up the Jayanti Devi Dam on the way to theTemple ..
CAT Ashish keeping a watch on the bikes whilst everyone went up to enjoy the serene natural beauty of the dam...

It was a hike up consisting of 82 steps... Nothing comes easy with CATS :)

But the views were splendid...

A crash course in biking with gears being offered to CAT Supreet by our young CAT Siddarth.. Just because you are older, does not necessarily mean that you are worldy-wiser ;)

Our Guide Vikram from Yuvsatta (Green Tyres) had plenty of wisdom and folklore to share with us on the way though.. He kept the CATS revitted for hours on end...

Though we do admit that it was not smooth sailing all the way...
The steep inclines did catch many off guard... I heard many a promises to loose weight ;)

We rode home soon despite all obstructions...
Seeing CAT Krishan using his mobile whilst riding the bike,
I was wondering if he's liable to be issued with a challan!!
On second thoughts, what excuse would he give to the cops to avoid being challaned?
'Sir kya karoon... main billiyon se ghiraa hua tha!!'

Time to climb up 400 steps to the temple top...

CATS being CATS... They always find 'something' on the way...
CAT Ashish A+C just could not get their hands off this snake!

Just as it was time to buy the 'Pooja Saamagri' for CAT MP...
Despite the funny streak, we do maintain and honour the sanctity of the place we visit...

CATS busy taking their shoes and socks off in order to make their way to the temple just a few more flights up...

As some were going up.. the others were already coming down after paying their respects!
Well all 27 of us could not possibly go to the small temple together... Anyway, that's our excuse and we are sticking to it!

CATS waiting for their turn to enter the tiny sanctum sanctorum...

This is Mata Jayanti Devi who grants all wishes....
for whom we had come all the way on a Sunday morning..

And this is the view which made it all worth while.... BEAUTIFUL

If this was not enough... there was delicious langar to partake...

The young ones had their own agenda....
Totally oblivious to the hullabullu around them, CAT Ansh and CAT Aman loading their toy JCB with mud! ..Someone has to earm money and put the bread on the table whilst the older lot is busy laughing their heads off for nothing :)

Gaata rahe mera dil....
It was sheer joy to be part of this biking trip CATS... everyone took care of each other.. The elders ensured that the young ones were not exposed to the running traffic... The ones who came early waited patiently for the ones who arrived late... We were late by 50mins, but each one of us had a purrfect time that day... See what you missed by not coming?

It was noon already and time to dig into our allu paranthas with dahi and chai...
Simple but sumptuous fair... burp... (ooopsie) !!!

Biking through the last leg of our journey...
Everyone was so eager to get home that no one paid attention I was missing...
What the heck hey... that's just another catty story I have lived to tell :)

A moment in time.. frozen for CATS...
But dont take too long, as CAT Ansh said, 'Jaldi karo, dard ho raha hai' :)
Hmm... do I hear anyone ask why CAT Kapil is looking so stiff in the photo?
Now THAT is a story you would want to know my dear CATS!
- CAT Supreet ;)
